Members of the LIBSENSE community will meet on 26 November 2020 to discuss ways of promoting open science in French-speaking Africa. The LIBSENSE Francophone Day is taking place as part of Open Access Week 2020 Côte d’Ivoire, organised by the Université Virtuelle de Côte d’Ivoire (UVCI).
Following a mini-conference in the morning, a second session in the afternoon will be dedicated to a workshop to complete the discussion on the evolving skills profiles of librarians in African higher education institutions using feedback generated from LIBSENSE workshops in 2018/19.
The workshop completes the identification of a set of preferred competency profiles to support ongoing digitisation that are appropriate for an African higher education context among English-speaking librarians
